Hey, I'm Kirsty!
I'm the founder of both MSTA and Model Standards Skincare Clinics.
First, I want to welcome you to MSTA.
MSTA is the UK's No.1 medic-led skincare training academy. We teach Ofqual-regulated skincare training courses to ambitious individuals across the UK and around the world, who are looking to start, launch and grow the career of their dreams in the skincare industry.
If you've landed here, two things are probably true. You're fascinated by skincare, and you want to know how to turn that fascination into a real, rewarding career that you wake up excited by, every single day.
Well, that's exactly what me and the MSTA team are here for.
A few years ago, I noticed something that frustrated me. Almost every skincare training course out there taught one 'single' treatment in isolation: chemical peels, microneedling, dermaplaning, or something else.
The problem?
Those students learned how to perform a treatment, but never how to actually solve a client's skincare problems.
They'd qualify in a single technique without understanding the skin itself: the concerns a person walks in with, and which treatment would genuinely get them results. In some instances, a well-meaning clinician can actually do more harm than good.
At Model Standards (my own skincare clinics) we've always done the opposite.
We never let a client 'choose' their own treatments. We assess and diagnose their skin first, then prescribe the treatment that will fix what they're actually dealing with.
And because that approach gets such amazing results for clients, people started asking us to train them in it.
So we built the training courses that we wished existed.
As a team, we have spent literally years creating what we truly believe are the best advanced skincare training learning pathways in the UK.
