MSTA launches its most in-depth polynucleotides course for skincare professionals

There’s a significant gap in skincare education right now. One that we’ve been thinking about for months, and one we’ve decided to fill.

Most polynucleotide courses on the market are surface-level. They cover the basics and move on. Many are taught by medical professionals who assume deep knowledge of injectables: needles, volume, the aesthetic medicine framework. That leaves a specific group of practitioners underserved: skincare professionals. People who understand skin science deeply, who work topically and with devices, who’ve built their careers around treating skin correctly, but who haven’t been trained to offer polynucleotide treatments properly.

There was a real gap there. So we built something to fill it.

“Polynucleotides represent the next frontier in skin health, and skincare professionals need training built specifically for them.”

What are polynucleotides?

Let’s start with the basics. Polynucleotides are biological compounds derived from DNA: long chains of nucleotides that work as biostimulators. Unlike fillers or toxins, they don’t add volume or paralyse. Instead, they stimulate the skin’s own repair and regeneration processes, boosting collagen production, elastin synthesis, and deep hydration.

The benefits are significant: deep skin hydration, improved skin laxity, fine line reduction, and overall enhancement of skin quality, all without the “done” look that concerns many clients. They work with the skin’s biology, not against it.

Polynucleotides have been used medically in Asia and Europe for years (particularly the PDRN technology from Italy and Spain), but they’re now having a major cultural moment in UK aesthetics in 2025–2026. As the industry moves away from heavy filler trends toward bio-regenerative treatments, polynucleotides are becoming a key part of the advanced practitioner’s toolkit.

Why the timing matters

There’s a significant cultural shift happening in UK aesthetics right now. Clients are moving toward science-backed treatments. They want visible results, but they also want to look like themselves. The era of obvious, aggressive aesthetic work is ending. Intelligent, skin-health-focused treatment is ascending.

Polynucleotides sit perfectly in that space. They deliver genuine clinical results without looking invasive. For practitioners, they represent both a business opportunity and a genuine upgrade in the care they can offer.

What the MSTA course covers

Our Polynucleotides for Skincare Professionals course is built from the ground up for aesthetic practitioners who understand skin science but want to offer this cutting-edge treatment correctly.

The curriculum covers:

  • In-depth skin science underpinning polynucleotide treatments
  • Product knowledge: how different formulations work and what to look for
  • Treatment protocols: preparation, application, and comprehensive aftercare
  • Client consultation and contraindications
  • Business integration: how to position, price, and market the treatment
  • Hands-on practical training with live models

Who this is for

This is not a beginners course. It’s designed for qualified skincare professionals who have completed foundational training, like our Aesthetic Skincare For Beginners programme or equivalent, and who want to expand their treatment offering into advanced biostimulator work.

If you’re already running a skincare practice and want to add a treatment that commands premium pricing, solves real skin problems, and aligns with where the industry is moving, this course is built for you.
