If you've researched skincare careers, you've seen this qualification everywhere, usually described as "VTCT Level 2 & 3". This is the certificate behind that shorthand: a single Ofqual-regulated qualification that combines Level 2 and Level 3 units, built specifically to take you from no formal background to ready for advanced aesthetic study.
It covers the science that separates professionals from hobbyists: anatomy and physiology, health and safety, skin analysis and pathology, and safe facial treatment protocols. Finish it and you hold the credential that insurers recognise, premium skincare brands ask for, and Level 4 qualifications require.

Two kinds of people take this qualification with MSTA. The first is the complete beginner starting a skincare career from zero: for you, this certificate is built into our beginner pathway alongside hands-on training and business support.
The second is the existing therapist or aesthetician who trained through short courses and now finds doors closed: premium brands, certain insurers and Level 4 study all ask for a regulated Level 3. For you, this is the conversion credential, and our Access to Brands route delivers it without making you repeat what you already know.
